  • Medical Plan Options Through Aetna: Cadence Education offers three medical plan options. The EPO 5000 is a copay plan with no deductible and 100% coverage after copays. The PPO 3500 has a $3,500 deductible with 70% coverage after the deductible. The HDHP/HSA 3700 has a $3,700 deductible with 100% coverage after the deductible. All plans include 100% coverage for preventive care.   
    Health Savings Accounts: A Health Savings Account (HSA) is a pre-tax medical savings account for the purpose of paying for qualified medical expenses, such as medical copays, high deductibles and coinsurance expenses, dental and vision care, prescription drugs, and common over-the-counter medicines. Money you don’t use in your HSA account rolls over from year to year and earns tax free interest.
    Dental Coverage Through Ameritas: The pre-tax Dental plan covers preventative, basic, and major restorative care at a significant discount.
    – Vision Coverage Through Aetna: With our pre-tax Vision plan, you and your eligible dependents will have access to a nationwide network of physicians, optometrists, ophthalmologists, and opticians both in private practices and at retail operations.
    – Basic Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment: Cadence Education pays for this policy for all full-time employees with amounts of $5,000 for school employees, $15,000 for Assistant Directors, and $30,000 for Directors. With this Company paid benefit, you also may use the Will- Prep services which include online planning documents, a resource library, and access to professionals to help.
    – Voluntary Optional Life Through Unum: You have the option to purchase additional life and AD&D insurance for yourself, up to $500,000; and if purchased, you can also purchase voluntary life coverage for your spouse, up to $250,000 (not to exceed your coverage), and/or your eligible dependent children in the amount of $5,000.
  • – Transamerica Permanent Life:  With Term Life Insurance, individuals have the freedom to choose the coverage amount and term that best suits their needs. It serves as a valuable financial safeguard, ensuring peace of mind for policyholders and their families during challenging times.
    – Short Term Disability: In the event of such a situation, this insurance policy offers coverage for a portion of the policyholder’s employee earnings. By receiving a percentage of their regular income, individuals can continue to meet their financial obligations, including bill payments, household expenses, and supporting their family. For comprehensive information about the specifics of Short-Term Disability insurance, it is advisable to consult with a benefit specialist who can provide detailed insights tailored to individual needs.
    – Critical Illness, Accident and Hospital Indemnity Plans Through Unum: Employees have the option to choose between 2 levels on each of these plans.
    – Legal Plan through LegalEase: LegalEase is a legal insurance plan that provides support and protection for unexpected personal legal issues.
    – The Employee Assistance Program (EAP): EAP through Work Life Matters is sponsored by Unum and Integrated Behavioral Health, provides confidential support and resources to you and your dependents at no charge. Both full and part time employees are eligible for this program, and you do not have to be enrolled in other plans to use this service.
    – 401(k) Savings Plan Through Empower: You may make contributions through payroll deduction on a pre-tax basis. To be eligible for the 401(k) plan, you must be at least 18 years old and have worked at least 30 days. Both full and part time employees are eligible. Click here to learn more. 
    – Pet Insurance Through ASPCA: Available through payroll deduction, pet insurance helps you save on vet bills and provides a free 24/7 Vet Helpline. Click here to learn more.
    – Identity Theft Protection Through Norton: You have the opportunity to choose between two plans, the Essential plan, or the Premier plan. Both plans include protection against many identity theft situations.

  • PTO Program: Generous paid time off program for all full-time employees.
  • Paid Holidays: Full-time employees receive 8 paid holidays throughout the year.
  • Child Care Discount: Employees receive a percentage discount for children to attend Cadence Education schools. The percentage is based on your state. Please direct questions regarding your percentage amount to your leadership team.
  • Education Assistance and CDA programs: Cadence Education supports employees continuing their education through the education assistance program offering $500 per year toward education. In many areas of the country, Cadence is also rolling out a CDA program.

How to Enroll in Benefits - Next Steps
  1. As a New Hire you're required to set an appointment to elect or decline benefits
  2. Visit the Benefit Portal - https://mybenefitsportal.com/cadenceeducation/ and click on the benefits booklet to review your benefit options.
  3. On the home page click "New Hire/ Questions" to schedule an appointment with a benefit specialist.
  4. Click "I need to elect benefits (NEW HIRE) or have questions about my current benefits - A Benefits Specialist will call you!"
  5. Click "I need to enroll in Benefits (New Hire)"
  6. Select a time that works for you and a benefit counselor will call you at the number you provide. (Make sure you select the appropriate time zone.)

Will my pay stay the same?
Yes, your salary or hourly pay rate will not be reduced. 

Will my date of hire change?
No, your hire date and seniority will remain the same with Cadence; you do not start over when you join our team!

Who is eligible to enroll in benefits?
Any employee who works 30 hours per week or more (classified as full time) is eligible for all company benefits. All employees can participate in our 401(k) plan regardless of the number of hours you work.

What benefits does Cadence offer?
